Cohn Associates was founded by Gary Cohn in 1987. Our firm provides high quality residential and commercial architectural services. We are committed to designing projects that reflect our clients' needs and desires. ​ Located in Solana Beach California, we have extensive experience along the coastal corridor including: Coronado Island, Point Loma, La Jolla, Solana Beach, & Cardiff by the Sea. We have also designed projects in Los Angeles, Coastal San Luis Obispo County, Mammoth Lakes & Napa Valley. Outside of California, we have completed projects in Arizona and Hawaii. Our firm offers a variety of services including planning & design, design development, construction document preparation and construction administration. We are experts in preparing the required documentation for discretionary design approvals and in navigating through the process of obtaining the necessary approvals. This experience makes us thoroughly familiar in working with the California Coastal Commission and with communities having their own local coastal plans. Our design philosophy is to provide a range of styles that suit our clients' preferences. We work closely with our clients. We listen to their needs and goals and guide them through the creative process producing design solutions that fulfill their expectations.
